New Impetus for the Heat Transition in North Macedonia

In the coal-dependent region of Bitola in North Macedonia, transforming the district heating supply to renewable energy is key to achieving a socially just and climate-neutral transition. Our new policy paper provides well-founded analysis and concrete recommendations across six key action areas – from legal and financial frameworks to citizen participation and infrastructure modernization.
